Corporate demographic brandwashing
Contests which determine the winner by how many users can click a “like” button are vehicles by which corporations gather demographic information about what is popular with young consumers so they can copy and rebrand it and sell it at Target / Urban Outfitters. I have no problem with this. I just wish that what I like would be popular so I could shop at stores.

Have Ideas : Last Day
Well, with the end of the Spring 2012 semester, I am also ending the #haveideas blog. It was a project I started to record my self-education and progress during a Leave of Absence from UB, and I think it was an enormous success. In light of my recent announcement that I am not returning to school, and successfully relocating my business to a full service studio in New Hampshire, I will be discontinuing this blog and focusing on my two others:
